USHF seminars are workshops where
instructors and students from different
schools (and systems) gather to demonstrate
and share various aspects of not only USHF
curriculum, but also concepts and techniques
from other martial arts.  Teaching pedagogy,
self-defense applications, training methods, and
personal insights are shared.  The seminars also
provide an opportunity to network with
students and instructors from other schools
and styles.

These seminars offer our members a chance to
study with the best and  brightest of our system
(and others)and it is an opportunity to learn
concepts and techniques that they might not
have had the chance to experience otherwise.
As always, the USHF encourages its
constituents to cross-train, branch out into
styles, to make new friends and compare notes.

The seminars also provide student instructors
and Dan rank members the opportunity to
present in fulfillment of
rank requirements.

The seminars are bi-annual (Fall and Spring),
often have 4-5 presenters and typically go from
10:00am until 5:00pm, with a break for
lunch/networking.  The fees associated with
these seminars are usually $35 for current
USHF members, $50 for non-members, for the
entire day.  These seminars are an incredible
value. If you don't believe it, shop around and
see what other such programs charge for
admission.
